Recently, I disabled the clutch assist for manual transmissions. However, I am controlling the clutch with a non-analog button (one of the bumpers on the Xbox controller). Is there a way to make a filter to slow down the clutch pedal release? At the moment, I have to rev the engine and release the clutch at the same time, which a) causes the car to lurch forward in an awkward manner, often spinning the wheels, and b) doesn't work for cars without a lot of low-end torque.

I have the clutch on the same bumper button. What I will do sometimes is rapidly press the button a few times. Might not be too realistic but I find it works quite alright if you get used to it. Otherwise maybe an analog stick will work? I've never tried that tho...

It would, but then how would I steer, or use the camera?

Good question, I wouldn't know, that's why I keep it on the bumper button. It would be great if controllers had a third trigger button, so it would simulate having three pedals, quite a design flaw if you ask me... how many race games are being played on a controller? Oh well...

Aren´t you supposed to use a wheel that also has a clutch pedal for manual clutch?
I mean, I am not a controller person and always use Automatic when I have one in my hands so I
don´t really know. Just a random question

Not necessarily, you can use whatever means you want.

About Filters, Key (grip) is slowest filter, you can't get slower clutch pedal activation than that.

Just select that instead of automatic filter. Going slower is probably not possible.

It's not ideal when starting from 0kmh, but as soon as you're rolling, it makes shifting much more interesting and in depth than the simplified manual. Also being able to clutch kick while drifting is a great advantage. These are some of the reasons I use it.

my settings are all messed up for controller in comparison to stock. i use the left trigger as the clutch, and the right trigger as the throttle. up on the d-pad is shift up, down is shift down. left slows time, right speeds it up. right bumper is brake, left bumper is handbrake. it works quite well for my applications, but you'll always be forced to use hard braking or kind of tap it to modulate it (especially w/o ABS) which i'm used to, since having used a keyboard for so long.
    ps4 controller btw.

but i use a full wheel setup almost every time i play, that's obviously the best option.
