Clutch slipping/torque converter giving out with more than 2000hp?

I'm trying to build a top speed vehicle, but i keep running into the issue that as soon as i get my engine above the 2000hp mark, either with a manual gearbox the clutch will start slipping, or with an auto or dual clutch transmission the torque converter/etc starts giving out, making the engine constantly revlimit and stop giving power to the wheels. this happens roughly after you surpass 500-600kmh.(only in high gear).

Is there something i can do about this? Or is it a bug/limitation to the game?
The car i'm using is a Wendover, but all other cars face the same issue. Running a vanilla game(no mods).

 

Uh, it's perfectly normal to blow through a converter at 2000 HP, that's just how things go, maybe try using a lower stall converter, idk if it's gonna make it better
