I'm about to buy a case for my prebuilt asus essentio and I need suggestions on what to get... I'm thinking about the corsair 200r. My max I want to spend is $60. I want a case with lots of space, very good cable management, and very good cooling. All about that cost. Is the 200r the best buy for all of these requirements or are there better ones for $60?
there are a lot of options out there, I bought a cheap Rosewill Challenger case a coupe years ago and I'm very happy with it. All the stock fans work even after many hours of use. You mentioned that you are buying this for a prebuilt computer. Make sure the mother board will fit into the case. Sometimes brands like Dell will use unconventional mother board screw placement and stuff like that.
For everything except perfect cable management, look to the NZXT source 210. There are slightly better versions that are worth a look, and I recommend them too. The 210 has 3x140/120mm fan slots, 3 120mm, and 1 120/92mm. It is roomy and has ok/pretty good cable management.
If you want airflow, the Tempest 210 is also a nice case. Cable management isn't the best but it's certainly there.
well, judging by the fact that asus makes motherboards and that they also make pre-built pc's, i'd say that the op's computer probably has a mAtx asus MB
I've narrowed down a list of cases for my brother to pick from recently to 36. All are under $60 somewhere online, all have USB 3.0, fit ATX boards, all have at least a 4/5 rating, they are all mid-towers under 18" tall, and none of them are yellow, pink, etc. I haven't really had the chance to look at cable management for them yet though, and my brother has yet to sort out the ones he doesn't like yet... The challenger does have good cable management. It is good quality for the price, I've used cases twice as expensive that were much worse quality. However Corsair is a great brand so the 200r should be a good choice. It looks like the 200r does not include any cooling fans, you will need to buy those separately. The Challenger does come with 3 fans that have worked great for me. They aren't even noisy like many cheap fans that are included in cases.
My personal favorite is the 200r quality and design and aesthetics wise and yes it does come with an intake and exhaust like mentioned, but I won't be getting that for my brother unless I can convince him away from the Apevia X-Hermes and its cheap molex plugs.
I use a CoolerMaster Cosmos SE Full Tower Case with Window. It is pretty good! Here is an Aussie link: https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=26167 You can check it out.
