Computer rebuild

Im rebuilding my asus essentio cm1630-8 so it can be a gaming PC. My essentio has an amd phenom ii x4 830, xfx Radeon 6670 2gb ddr3, thermaltake tr2 600w psu, and a segate barracuda 1tb drive. My rebuild has an msi a78m e45 with an athlon x4 760k, coolermaster hyper tx3, and a nzxt source 210. I'm keeping the psu, hhd, and gpu. Will the tx3 work with my 760k and will the 6670 work with the 760k for beamng? And if so, what are the best settings on beamng for my new specs?

 

Yeah, everything there is good, but the 6670 is a little weak. Id suggest a 750 ti or maybe a r7 265 when you can afford it. with your current gpu, id guess aroung 35-40 fps on DRI. med-high

 

I can't afford a gpu at the moment. I like someone to give me one for free. Lol anyways, how far can I overclock with the tx3 with my athlon?

 

Around 4.8 or so. Depends on the motherboard and voltages. Also on the chip you get. Its a big lottery.

Edit: That mobo wont let you change voltage so about 4.6 or 4.7 stable.

 

Do I do the oc gene?

 

No, it sucks. do it all manually.

just set the multi to like 40 to start off, and edge it up slowly till you find the highest stable speed.

 

We'll I am used to doing oc gene on msi boards cause my dads build is an a88xm e45 and he got to 4.4 gtz stable. And I forgot how to overclock manually cause it has been a long time...

 

wait i was thinkin about oc mode in the bios. yeah oc genie will do.

Nvm, that is oc genie. no its crap. just go into the normal bios menu and set the multi to about 40 and see how it goes from there. You shouldnt have any use for overclocking anyway, the 6670 will bottleneck.

 

Ok and one more thing... Can you give me another graphics card?

780 is about $520, 780Ti is $700.

ill give you an amd athlon 64 single core 1.8gtz that is full of toothpaste... but sereously i really need a graphics card. my 6670 runs SO HOT and SO LOUD, it sounds like my computer will explode.

 

I can give you an old ATI RAGE PRO if you think that's any better. Beggars can't be choosers.

 

honestly i would if i had an extra one, but my only spare card is a geforce 8400gs...not quite up to snuff for modern anything

 

Have you blown the thing? Probably needs a good dusting. Go to craigslist to find cheap stuff. I do have a kinda broken hd 7770, but it's my only backup card so I would need like $20 for it so I could get a gt 610 or something.

 

I reapplied thermal paste to it, cleaned dust out of it, I don't know... I've got no money for another one cause I spent it on the athlon 760k, the Mobo, the cpu cooler, and the case...
