Just wondering if there is a way, when I couple one vehicle to another, if I can control both vehicles at the same time? Like a "daisy chain" of controls Heres my Idea. Ive got string of 6 Hoppers connected together as a "Train" on some tracks, the lead Hopper is the power, and the rest trailing have no engines, trans front axles etc, they do have rear brakes, I have coupled each vehicle together by connecting the front bumper node to the hitch on the hopper in front of it. (When I do this the camera responds like if I were to be hooking up a trailer) When I hit the brakes, I want the hoppers in the rest of the "train" to respond to this command, like the trailers already do, or lets say i have 2 hoppers with powertrains, and I want the front two to copy the same input between each other, so I choose the lead hopper, i accelerate, and the hopper behind responds to the same input, via the attached node, Im not concerned with steering, or other functions. Would I have to have a hitch node on the front bumper of the trailing hoppers to do this? Or is there another way? I know I can tab though and hit the brakes or accelerate but it can be super hard at times. If I were to add a hitch node to the bumper, how would I go about doing this? Thank you for any help with my ridiculous request lol
I got it figured out with a bit of messing around with the crawler bumper file, I added the "Tag:tow_hitch" line behind the middle front bumper node it, effectively making it a "trailer hitch node" added "Throttle" and "Clutch" to the importinput line, effectively making the front bumper a tow hitch that transfers the selected inputs and electrics instead of just two combined nodes. does anyone know what lines I would add to make the gear shifter also respond to the lead car? I tried adding "gear1", "gear2", etc to the line but it doesnt seem to control the shifter, runs the brakes, throttle, and clutch with the proper input lines.
