Converting .cdae to .dae is possible?

I'm trying to fix/remaster a broken BeamNG mod, and I found 2 uneditable .cdae files. How to convert it into an editable format (best would be .dae)?

 

Short answer: you don't. Long answer: cdae is cached dae, which is serialized in MessagePack format, with possible Zstandard compression. It's not meant to be opened or edited, it's what the game uses to faster load already existing meshes.

If you really need the model, my suggestion would be to use the glTF exporter.
