    Hi,

When the 0.26 update came out, I was a little bit disappointed that the MR Covet didn't have an AWD version. (Still REALLY GREAT Update though!!!)
So I just made it myself!

    Works for 0.32, too!

    Progress:
[90%] logical jbeam (powertrain, ..., I feel like some parts are missing, suggestions are welcome!)
[45%] model (I'm planning on making the driveshaft go through the old exhaust tunnel in the middle) - will probably never happen (see update 0.4.2 notes)
    [75%] decorational/weight jbeam (nodes, beams, ...)

This first release (v0.1) includes NOTE: afaik, this is not packaged properly, so needs repackaging to get working (fixed)
    - a 5-Speed Manual Transaxle
    - a Limited Slip Transfercase
    - a Limited Slip Rear Differential (new version adapted to work with Transfercase)
    - a Limited Slip Front Differential (new version adapted to work with Transfercase)

    Added in v0.2:
    - better default parts
    - more matching Final Drives

    Added in v0.3:
    - a 5-Speed Sequential Transaxle
    - a 6-Speed Sequential Transaxle
    - Open, Welded, standard Limited Slip Differentials Front and Rear
    - 4WD Transfercase with High/Low and disconnectable Front and Rear shafts

    Added in v0.4:
    - everything from previous updates now available for the front-engine variant!

    Changed in v0.4.1:
    - Fixed Hood not opening when Front Differential is used

    Changed in v0.4.2:
    - Removed Beams and Flexbodys from Custom Front Halfshafts*

    Changed in v0.4.3:
    - Cleaned up jbeam for Rear Engine Front Differentials and removed their nodes (forgot some stuff in the last update, now all diffs should work as intended)

    Added/Changed in v0.5:
    - Added Models for the Front Engine Layout:
    • Transfercase (thanks @barabash)
    • Front Left Halfshaft (thanks @barabash)
    • Driveshaft (shortened by me, model provided by @barabash
    • Exhaust (edited by me to fit the Rear suspension and Drivetrain, model by @barabash)
    • Rear Differential (taken from the 200bx, moved)
    • Rear Halfshafts (taken from the 200bx, edited to fit the moved Differential)
    • Fueltank (taken from the 200bx, heavily modified to fit the Covet without too much clipping)
    - Redid most of the Parts for the Front Engine Layout to make the Models make sense etc.
    - Added Config: Rally AWD JDM (Rally Config w/ AWD and JDM Parts)

    Changed in v0.5.1:
    - Removed Rear Halfshafts for Front Engine Layout as a Part as they're not needed and just did some weird stuff to the Front Halfshafs
    - Maybe (hopefully) fixed the Rear Halfshafts sticking through the trunk floor
    - Fixed some stuff with the Mesh of the Rear Differential, deformation should now be WAYYYY better

    Changed in v0.6:
    - Fixed weird Rear Halfshafts
    - Fixed Driveshaft
    - Changed Driveshaft to Prop, now rotates at proper RPM
    - (MR Layout) Fixed Front Diff Node scratching on the Ground

    * they caused issues because there is no transmission in the MR config in the front where they could attach to

If you want to use this mod (or parts of it) in your own project, just DM me!

    SUGGESTIONS VERY WELCOME!

    @barabash : Models & Textures for:
    • Transfercase
    • Alternate Front Left Halfshaft
    • Driveshaft (w/ Mounts, shortened and edited by me)
    • Exhaust (with complete Jbeam and tips, edited by me)
    • alternate Cut Exhaust Heatshield
    • Rear Differential (unused)
    • Rear Halfshafts (unused)
    • alternate Fueltank (unused)
    • alternate Rear Suspension (unused)
    • Rear Halfshafts (unused)
    • alternate Front Subframe (unused)
    • alternate Front Steeringrod w/ Tierods (unused)
    HUGE Thanks to you!

Me: everything else (Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V, Transfercase, most of the jbeam, ... (sunburst, Stambecco and 200bx drivetrain helped a lot!))

Thank you, I was looking for this. Really turns the MR Turbo into a 205 T16.
Edit: tried it out more, you might want to change the default torque split to 50% to make it more true to the 80's rally AWD systems. Also, the front diff default final drive is set higher than the highest default rear final drive. Otherwise, great simple mod. Better than anything I could do.

If you could do a small tweak to allow the engine to have no turbo, or even the 2.0 from the fwd covet, it would be greatly appreciated.

Even the AWD systems in group B had slight rear bias, more so with mid engine cars. Less understeer and more traction because that’s where the weight shifts too under acceleration.

Any chance for 6 speed manual and 6 speed sequential gearboxes? I’d also like to see “race” versions of the transfer case and both diffs.

yeah, the default (and generally the parts) are not at all finalized. I'll match the default Final drives and fix other defaults probably today...

I think there is already another mod for this, but I might try to do that. Although this is more or less my first "real" mod (I did a PBR conversion and a Sequential gearbox before, but nothing this big or porting whole engines. Maybe I'll have time to try that today though...

Yes, other Gearboxes will definitely come, (especially because I only really have to copy the stuff from the stock ones and adapt it a little bit)
As said above, I'll adjust the defaults, this first release is more or less the first version I got to work "properly" (as is all wheels spin at sane speeds and everything works as expected)

Very cool start. I've been working on a wide angle steering, but the covet has huge issues with that now. Might need a patch or two to get sorted, but an AWD drifter would be very nice to have in the meantime!

I can't access beamng.com on my pc currently, sox the next update has to wait a bit...

    what'll probably be fixed:
    - default final drives
    - maybe i'll add a few transmissions
    - maybe open/welded diffs (maybe even locking diffs)

the next release will at least have open, welded and normal limited slip diffs, maybe i'll look into locking diffs, too.
i still can't access the website on my pc though...

4wd as in you can either have RWD or AWD or do you mean FWD or AWD?
    --- Post updated ---
currently working on making 4WD in FWD, RWD and AWD modes working, I'm a bit stuck on the center diff not connecting to the driveshafts

I think the .zip File I uploaded is broken (not right packaged). Release 0.2 will fix that

Thanks for great mod, it needed awd!
But is there a simple way to add this to the new front engine Covet? My old awd mod doesnt work anymore. Or maybe you can make one for that also?

I'm currently having problems getting beamng to run properly with steam, but I guess it wouldn't be that hard. I guess I'll probably try it tho!
