Hey guys, I'd really appreciate if you could create a 1992 Buick Park Avenue because I own one myself over here in good old Germany and I love American cars, and especially the Buick PA. As well I always followed the development of the game and I have to say that it is fantastic! I directly bought it the other day...
Yes and also make my Integra plz. Sorry bro, they don't make licensed cars! edit: of course someone from the community could model it, but I doubt that anyone is taking requests, most have their own projects.
Wait what about Mythbuster's Cadillac? Unless you mean name brand cars aren't supposed to come with the game when bought.
That car is already finished and ingame if you didn't realise. It's called the Grand Marshal, and the design is very similar to the Buick, even though it's based on a Crown Vic and a Roadmaster or something(I believe the Roadmaster is the same body as the Crown Vic though)
Yeah the grand marshal is a mixture of american 90's sedans the grill and lights look similar to this.
Spitty is technically right, so are you. I'll explain it as simply as I can. Unless the BeamNG devs fork out a bucketload of cash to licence cars to be used in their game, don't expect any familiar badges to show up in an official release. It's fine to include real world car names and brands in a freeware game, or through use of mods, because neither of those are making money from using someone else's brand name. With a game you want money from, either cough up the money and pay for a licence (or face legal action), or use your own brands. I personally like this approach from BeamNG as it lets gabester "run wild" and make as many amazing designs as he can imagine, but also anyone who wants their trusty Civic in the game can do so if they create it themselves.
I cringe every time I see "Make a [car name]!" in the Suggestion section. As I understand it, this section is designed for people to suggest ideas to the devs to improve the game, not to ask the community to make a particular mod. Besides, you can post suggestions for particular cars in one of the many "Vehicle Suggestions" threads scattered about this forum. There's no need to make a thread for every idea you think of. While your idea is cool, I doubt anyone else would make it. There aren't many content creators yet, and there are thousands of suggestions floating around this forum. If you really want this mod in the game, you could either spend some time and make it yourself or pay an experienced modder to create it for you. It's a cool idea though. - - - Updated - - - Here's the Vehicle Suggestions thread. Feel free to toss your idea in. However, remember that there are 585 posts in this thread, many of which contain multiple ideas. Unless another modder shares a common interest in this car, the odds that your car will be made by someone else are very slim.
okay okay guys...sorry...I didn't see that there is a vehicle Suggestion thread already. And of course I know that they have to pay lot's of Money for using real brands but it's just a wish nothing else. The Marshal is very cool anyway...Looks more like a Buick Century from the front.
What you just said was kind of entirely wrong lol. Grand marshal is like the crown vic of the real world. The crown vic and roadmaster (Caprice) are similar in that they are body on frame, rwd, v8 cars, but the roadmaster definitely isn't the same body as the crown vic. They are even made by two different companies, Ford and GMC (Roadmaster is buick, Caprice is chevy, Crown Vic is Ford). The Grand marshal isn't really similar to the park ave. because it's rwd, frame on body, and v8 while the park ave. is a fwd, unibody, and v6 (3.1l or 3.8l). To Op. I have a buick century which is similar to the park ave. in a lot of ways and I can't tell why you like it so much. Mine is a total piece! lol
I can tell you why I love the Buick Park Avenue: It's V6 engine still has a relatively good gas mileage, what's important over here in Germany. We pay double the Price for one gallon than the Americans do! And it's front wheel drive is perfect for the heavy winters we have. The heavy engine pushes the front axle perfectly on the ground and you have lot's of grip combined with winter tires. It is the best "beginner american car" for me, as a 22 years old Student. I love it!
they are decent in slow i've driven mine through 6in of snow all the time last winter for fun. Made it even with dry rotted crap tires
So if I 'd like to do the Buick by myself(have been working with Blender, Google SketchUp and Endorphin for a while), what do I Need at least? I'd Need the blueprints of the car don't I? But what if I don't get them? I mean I own the car, but I could'nt do them by myself could I?
I haven't been able to find good blueprints for very many cars, but yea, you'll want blueprints. Having the car is really good when it comes to suspension, underbody, and interior modeling imo
