I would like to learn how to create car mods for for beam ng drive. I need help ive look at instuctions to do this many times can someone help me?
Read the wiki on the forum.. It is very helpful! Content_Creation Vehicle_Creation_Megapage These are just 2 examples
Download mods, examine how they are made, start making your own private changes to official cars or mod cars, don't except to make car at first as you have to first learn so much about where everything is, how everything works.
How would I be able to examine a car mod to see how its made? When you create a car mod for beam ng drive are you replacing a car with a new skin or are you just creating a complete new one to go in the game?
Just download a zip of the mod, extract it and start examining the files while studying links posted earlier by @NistingurA that is where everybody starts. There is no magic recipe for quick success really, learning Blender for example is completely another quite disconnected aspect and knowing that will allow only making 3d model, before that you need to learn what different files are for, what kind of tags and syntax to use etc. Before modding was a word for the stuff, we did hack games to alter car's performance for example, it was just reverse engineering how things work, while today modding is big thing and lot of information is available, to some extend you still need to reverse engineer how things work.
My goal is to make cars simaler to real life like cars for BeamNG inside and out. when I mean inside out I want to create a car mod to not only look like that paticular car I want to create but also have the same mechancal features as the real life like car. One of the cars I would like to create for BeamNG is a 1997 acura 2.2CL mod. I want to create this type of car for BeamNG were its not only the skin of a 97 acura cl I create but the internal stuff aswell like moding it to have the 145hp 2.2 I-4 engine, 5spd manual tranny and FWD all that stuff. I dont want it to just some other car thats all ready in beamNG waring the skin of a 97 Acura 2.2CL.
