Let's say that you won't have any friends to play with when multiplayer comes out, and chasing a car in a strait line is just getting boring (let's use police chases as an example). So what could we do to make sure that we are completely satisfied offline? My suggestion is that we create some sort of AI path system, a system that is completely dependent on the player. Using paths, the player could create AI races or custom police chases. Simply add points anywhere on the map for the AI to follow, of course giving AI the capability to brake for those sharper corners. It would be great for chases as the AI would try to resume their path say if they were spun off of the road. And each time you play, the way the path is taken could be a little different each time so it doesn't seem like cars on rails. I know that AI have been considered already for things such as just driving about the roads, but if we could control their path, make them go wherever we want, then that would give us more control unlike any other game out there. You could create your own rally stage, make an off-road convoy, create a police chase, ANYTHING! I assume that tackling such a project is nothing easy, but if it's possible, then why not give it a shot? This game as it is is already going to be unlike any other game. How about we try to make it even more amazing?
