I made a map based on the real location, Mt. Nebo State Park, Arkansas. It is using assets from East Coast USA. I was working on the map for about 2 weeks. Suddenly, just yesterday, I started BeamNg and loaded my map to work on it some more and it just crashes. I tried again, crashes. So pretty much, I just lost 2 weeks worth of map building. Before it started crashing on load, it was having crashing issues when I placed a new road. As soon as I created a new road, it crashed. Also, when I place a decal using the default WarningMaterial material, it crashes. So it looks like the WarningMaterial caused the crash. But now its just crashing on start. Somebody PLEASE help me restore my map. I do not want to have to redo it. I'll post my crash logs when I get home. EDIT: Whoops I forgot about the crash logs. From what it looks like, you are making your map based on ECA. Make sure that all the files that are in the first subfolder (levels/mt_nebo) have the same name (.mis | .decals.mis | _preview.png) as the folder
Do I have to rename some stuff in CS files if I renamed the things you asked? EDIT: I started beamNG after I renamed the things you asked. When I looked in the freeroam section for some reason there were two Mt_Nebo maps. I started the first one and it did exactly what it did before, it crashed. I tried the second one and this one showed an error Failed to create resource (is the file missing?): levels/east_coast_usa.forest. The map loaded with the east coast usa map with no trees. Edit2: I'm just going to post the level file if you need it. Also, don't worry that it doesn't have a levels folder in the zip. The actual crash report contains all the useful info, the log of the 'crash-reported' only the steps the 'crash-reported' is doing to gather all the files needed, and itself doesn't contain any error. Synol will be helping you, surely having the the possibility to try the map ourselves surely helps to help you
After a quick look , you forget to rename your .ter file , it's still eastcoastusa.ter should be mt_nebo.ter , and you can also remove the scenario files (prefab) and folder can they won't work on your map and may create errors . I've been messing around with the file names and I've managed to get it to stop crashing, but unfortunately my map is completely broken. It just loads East coast USA. The terrain that I had for Mt nebo disappeared. There was two terrain files, one called theTerrain.ter, its just east coast USA, and another terrain named east_coast_usa which has nothing in it. Just blank terrain It looks like I'm going to have to redo my map. I should of saved a ton of backups while building it.
Have you followed what synosol said above you? Your issue is more likely an easy fix. Is the game is loading the original ECA it's because you left something from the original map somewhere. Also, you posted a mediafire link above, which you can use as backup more likely.
I did do what he said. The thing is, the original mt_nebo terrain seems to have somehow disappeared? Also the mission file just loads East_Coast_USA when it previously loaded my original map. Also the mediafire link is the map after it had that duplication problem.
