Custom Preset Image

Hello All

When creating a custom vehicle preset, how do you get an image to show in the selector? Do I just save a .png in the same location as the .pc file under the same name or is it more involved than that?

 

You also need an info file in .json format.

Thumbnail must be named as the .pc preset (i.e my_config.pc ---> my_config.png) and can be created via a in-game app.

Info file must be named as info_*preset filename*.json (i.e info_my_config.json). You can use default ones as a reference for syntax.

 

Ah brilliant, do i have to zip it all up and save it in the game files or in the same location as the .pc?

 

Info file and thumbnail must reside in the same folder of the preset.

You can zip them all up - just make sure the name of the archive doesn't conflict with anything official.

You can also just store them in the same folder the presets are saved in by the game editor (default: /My Documents/BeamNG.drive/vehicles/vehiclename/).
