Custom Skin

how do i make a custom skin for a car?

Judging by the 100s of skins in the forums, they're are easy to make.

 

Exactly. I literally searched the forum for 30 seconds and figured out how to do it. Remember, when you create a thread, you are opening a whole new discussion that everyone can see. Use the search bar or IRC (chat) for small questions like these.

Anyways, just navigate to the folder of the vehicle you'd like to mod, and find XXXXX_c.dds. Obviously the x's would be the name of the car.

Open the file up with Paint.NET or Photoshop or GIMP and draw whatever you want. Save, re-open the game.

When the game opens the car will still be the original colour but with your design so you will likely have to change the colour to white.
