I'm having troubles getting my Xbox 360 controller to work in BeamNG after downloading custom drivers from here: http://lavendy.net/special/driver/x360c/index.html I downloaded the 64-bit Windows 7 one.
The game won't recognize the controller so I'm unable to set the controls for it.

The drivers are installed correctly, as it seems to work on other games.

I've tried creating a custom inputmap with the driver's GUID, but it still wouldn't get recognized. And I'm also using the newest version of BeamNG (0.5.1).

Yes, it might sound silly as for why I just won't use the official Xbox 360 drivers, but I need these drivers for games that don't support XInput, like Richard Burns Rally.

Also adding that my controller was recognized when using the official drivers.

While I can't actually help with the problem itself, it might be worth to look into the 360 controller emulator as a workaround. It's a bit of a stretch - turning your controller's XInput into DirectInput then back into XInput - but there's a chance it works. And, unlike custom drivers, it shouldn't change the controller's behaviour for any other games.

We do not use GUIDs anymore, just VIDPID and devicetype. Are you manually writing the inputmap? If so, why don't you simply use the built-in Controls menu to create your bindings?
