I have noticed that the D-series flatbed is a bit unrealistic. It features no tail lights as well as a lack of other details one would expect in a flatbed for a light-duty truck.
    Examples of pickup flatbeds:

(LED lights are really the only change in the last 30 years with them)

Another great addition would be a tray. These could work as an add-on part for the flatbed in the parts selector

I'd like to add that the wheel cutouts on the current flatbed should be eliminated or covered. To compensate for this, the flatbed could be raised higher up.

I agree that the current flatbed is unrealistic and illegal. As far as I know, it is illegal to have the rear wheels exposed, so there should be some kind of flare or cover and mud flaps. It also needs taillights, even if they are only small ones attached under the bed like in the picture below.

I also think a stake bed would be nice to have and probably not too hard to make.

The current flatbed isn't even trying to be a work bed like those (I hope); it's just a generic off road attachment. From what I've seen of real ones, they are closer to stripped work beds than what it currently is, but as a garage built off roader I think it works fine. Of course a proper work bed would be nice, but there's many additions which should be higher priority.
