So starting off, first post and I have no clue if this is the right category and such so I apologize in advance if that's the case So I was jamming some beam earlier messing around with the d series and multiple mods for it nix parts, dfa pack, stuff like that all worked well updated beam like an hour or so ago and I've come back on to see what's new and my default, a d series with a lot of dfa pack parts was hectically broken steering wouldn't work, camera was off in weird spot and just like unusable tried spawning another car and despite me choosing replace current, it didn't despawn the d series (I could'nt actually manage to despawn it, had to set a new default even), just spawned the car next to it. spawned a standard d series and no issues figured out that no matter the mod, lp squarebody, dfa, nix parts, so on,any mod I have that changes the frame or body, just royally facts up. I've gone through all my mods very thoroughly, tried clearing cache, I cannot find what's causing it but I'm still gonna give it another go It's especially mind boggling to me because I've checked the patch notes multiples times thinking I maybe missed something relating to the d series but all I saw was the thing about detailed mirrors and a simplified traffic version but I couldn't find anything that would lead me to understand why my d series has just become unmoddable so if you did manage to make it to the end of this, apologies for it being fairly long but I just wanted to be detailed, Does anyone have an idea or suggestion as to what caused this and if it's hopefully just something on my end or if it's something anyone else is experiencing? I greatly appreciate anyone who can possibly help --- Post updated --- Ok so I did a few more things, it looks like I'm getting a lua error with anything d series related that moves the camera, Now I may sound really stupid but I've found that it doesn't happen with the dfa cat bodies, but it does with pretty much every other "mod" body or chassis and it happens regardless of what mods are active, inactive, so on. So... this may be the stupid part but I have taken a guess that I may have some corrupt game files so before I go more into a rabbit hole I'm gonna just reinstall it and hope it fixes it
I'm having the same issue with anything D-series related. If you happen to find a fix please notify me, I have a ton of patreon mods like CDC, DFA, and countless others it would really suck if they broke...
Yea this is pretty normal whenever big, or even just normal sized updates are dropped. A lot of mods break, and sometimes an entire vehicle's selection of mods can break. This is why when you boot up the game it'll tell you all mods are disabled, and you have to re-enable them as there's no gaurantee any of your mods won't destroy the game in it's new updated state. What you have to do is just wait, or go back to an earlier version, because this is just something that happens. A lot of my mods for the D-Series, and the old version of the 200bx are now broken, and so I just deactivate the mods, move them to my previous version folder, and wait for the original mod maker to update them. A lot of em will be updated, some won't, but you just gotta wait unless you wanna revert back to an older version.
From what I have read he is not updating it. The last updated post was almost a year ago on Patreon, and I cannot find his discord anymore to contact him. From what I have read if your pay through patreon cancel your sub.
yo so half of my D-series mods are broken:for example my svt ford lightning spawns and drives, but the camera doesnt follow the truck and you can drive it off the screen. another way the dentside mod is broken and a few others is that the trucks spawn with all parts, but they dont drive at all, they just rev the engine. is this related with the update? also i keep getting a fatal lua error i have no idea what a fatal lua error is
This is what happens with major updates... which is why so many people like to have other versions of Beam available to them. You can pretty easily switch between the current and older versions so you can continue to use those mods until they're updated. But, until the author's or someone else updates their mods everything will be broken.
On a recent update, the devs moved the main controller thing from the main slot to the frame slot of all vehicles (more noticeable on BoF vehicles). Since the mods don't have them (if the mod adds a different frame option for the D-Series), it won't move. Just edit all the mods frames and include the section for the main controller (I'm away from my PC right now, so I can't past the code section that you should add, but I believe in you), and it should work again flawlessly.

For a DFA(might work or other mods) camera fix go to the file path SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\lua\ge\extensions\core\vehicle and delete the file mirrors.lua from the folder (PLEASE MAKE A COPY OF THE FILE BEFORE DELETING IT) this should fix the camera(it did for my game) and I have not noticed anything different while playing. I am not reponsible to any damage your game files may incur with this fix! Save your backup of the lua file like this(I put it in a folder on my desktop with a reminder of the path):
