Since there is currently no finished z for Beamng, I have decided I will attempt to make one. I will be making a stock version first, and later add swappable parts, and maybe a rusty version (as I am convinced this is the z's natural form). I am a beginner to blender so this project will definitely take a very, very long time. If anyone has any tips for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Im no modder, but don't overwhelm yourself. Stick with a stock version first. Once you have that to a place you like it, then add to it. That and I kinda want to see this finished no matter how long it takes. Smashy smashy!

Start with making props like traffic cones or fruit stands. They're much quicker and easier to make than a car and it allows you to experiment. Most people find themselves stuck in the modelling phase and never even touch the jbeam portion, which is objectively more difficult. Yes, that's right: modelling and texturing is the easy part.

    Progress pic no.1
The back is shaping up pretty nicely, the front end is going to be a pain

I may pause halfway through and make a simple car to try and understand the jbeam part of it.

That is not how you model... If you keep going you'll soon realize that your'e stuck. Try looking up a blender tutorial for a coffee cup, that's always a good place to start.

It looks like you've started modeling from a cube... The body is supposed to be flat so you can add details later. The shape looks okay but you'll need to rework a lotttttt later on.

The 200BX jBeam will bode nicely with this. I hope you get this project finished. :)

I absolutely love the Datsun 280Z and ZX. I was thinking of shooting for an 80's ZX and swapping the engine for an N/A RB25 with preparations for a turbocharger, as my next car. 80's sports cars are great.
