The normal one would be enough in any case. They're all compatible with the Apple Pen (the one reason to get an iPad over anything else) and it doesn't cost as much as a convertible laptop unlike the Pro and Air. The Pro is ridiculously powerful for what it is but you'll never use that processing power. Now the Air is also a lot more expensive. 200 bucks more. Maybe you want to use it for another 5-6 years, in which case maybe you can justify that expense. But I doubt it. Whether you need a lot of storage and a SIM slot is up to you, the upgrades are overpriced but maybe you desperately need to use the internet on it while you're away.
