I currently make a lot of use of the Debug display (ctrl+o) after laps of a track, a crash or while offroading to monitor broken suspension bits.

It would be very useful to have an option to highlight bent or deformed beams.

Absolutely 2nded. In general more beam debug tools would be incredibly helpful.

For your idea, the beam color could be changed based on elongation or % of yield strength.

Ability to color code or highlight beam groups in jbeam would be handy to visualize a certain area over the rest of the visual rats nest of beams.

Ability to show forces in a beam as a function of time, or accelerations of nodes. Like the FFB graph but for a beam or group of beams/nodes. Or even to log these forces to a text file or replay file so they can be analysed outside the game.

This. 100%. Beam history would be cool to see too. Similar to the current text display when debug is enabled, but permanent onscreen as an app or dumped to a log file. "at 4:20pm, beam s1-d1 experienced 150000N of force and broke."
