    Incoming alternative/grunge/punk rock music :p

Brand New - Degausser - A lot of this song's lyrical meaning has been debated.
Clutch - The Regulator - To simplify it, its about committing murder and how the narrator is trying to justify it for himself.
Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun - Chris Cornell had a knack for creating surreal, double-meaning songs. On one hand, its just surreal sounding, but on the other hand it is about the desire to have some way to rid life of depression.
Three Days Grace - Over and Over - There are two ways to interpret this song.
Bartholomew - Silent Comedy - Saint Bartholomew was a martyr. Depending on how you interpret it, this song is either about someone trying to save themself (and consistently ruining their chance at redemption), or it is about a sinner being forgiven for his sins despite God making it harder and harder for them. Could be both.
Linkin Park - Talking to Myself - This song had a pretty straightforward meaning until Chester Bennington committed suicide. Whether or not this song was a cry for help is up to you.
Daisy - Brand New - I'll leave this one to the listener.

Title sounds innocent... but not the song. It has a strange, but understandable message.

Punk rock FTW. Truer words have never been spoken about American pride.

Considering how popular this song is right now, I'm surprised no one has listed it yet.

Childish Gambino - This Is America
    (more specifically the music video)

I'm a fan of Ministry but this is really the only song from their hard-rock era that hits you in the feels.

Dark Side of the Spoon deserves a second look. Fun fact: there is a lost Ministry album - it was somewhat like the prior album, Filth Pig, but was not released because it was too similar. It was completely re-recorded into what we now know as Dark Side of the Spoon.

Anyway, they are now quarantined in the studio working on their next album. Hopefully they have the good sense to not sign with Puke-lear Blast again :p
