    So while learning the editor I've discovered turning mesh roads into stencils for the terrain. Putting the min bend angle to 0 really makes for a smooth mesh road. But a long mesh road at full detail really slows down the computer while raising/lowering the terrain to it.

    No biggy, it's intensive.

    HOWEVER if you drive on that road and slide sideways, fps drops to nothing! I was so disappointed after spending hours making roads on my map. I figured it might be meshroad related and to my surprise it was! I left the road in the map "just in case" I needed it again, AND left it at 0 for min bend angle (full detail.) When I put it back up to 3+ there was no longer any skidding lag!! So the mesh was keeping some sort of performance hold over the area.

    Just now I discovered that it really screws with terrain modification as well, regardless of meshroad complexity.

    For instance: Smoothing the terrain works quick and easy, but when I smooth NEAR a mesh road, it slows down tremendously! The mesh road is at 10 for min bend (means it's extremely simplified) and sure enough smoothing performance slows to a complete crawl.

    So it seems some sort of bug/leak that the meshroads are creating. They need to be "turned off" or something?

    It seems to be within 500meters of the road or so. Smoothing cliffs, ground, whatever is super silky, but when I get close the meshroad it goes to hell.

    Hope this helps =)

    Interesting thing here;

    It's not the mesh roads causing slow terrain smoothing, it's the road decals. They were hidden underneath my road meshes when I did the smooth testing, sorry about that. As for the SKIDDING slowing the computer down, that isn't road decal related it seems, and goes away each and every time I change the min bend to something higher than 0 on the road meshes =)

    Sorry about that.
