delete this :D

i wanted to take a thumbnail for a car configuration, in the thumbnail generator.
and it didnt save the configs thumbnail, instead it all sorts of fucked up the other
configs thumbnail, how do i fix it? i dont want to delete my game and reinstall

 

Verify intergrity on steam

 

how do i do that?
(sorry im a noob at this stuff)

 

Go to beamng on steam, click the gear icon then click on properties and then click verify integrity

 

Or go to vehicles folder in your BeamNG folder and find "sbr" then delete the pictures in there

 

That will remove all the thumbs

 

it is verifying pretty slowly.. imma be patient

 

It takes about 5 mins,
After it does it if it doesnt work delete your sbr folder and do it again

 

It won't...? I do that all the time and it dosen't affect the game whatsoever

anyways, what does "verifying" files do?

 

checking if there is any anomaly in the games code

 

it didnt do anything all the images look the same

 

IDK maybe try mine, if you don't touch the base game files it should be fine

 

If you delete the whole folder, yeah it removes all thumbs, but you can open the folder and delete the images which you don't want. Then you'll have the thumb of your configs only

but then it will not show that the thumbnails for the configs that already come with the game

 

Neverminded. idk what's wrong

 

if i open the sbr folder, these images show up, these are the ones which got messed up, if i delete them, will the thumbnails for the configs reset? like they will become normal like they used to before. or will it just remove the thumbnails for the configs and show a "missing preview"

 

They will come back as they were.
