So, as in most cars with stock drive shafts, the knuckles break when you've put too much stress on it by bending the frame/floor of the car too far. They make what are called "slider shafts" now for derby cars and trucks. They are really just a PTO implement shaft made to fit the rear end and trans of a car. This will let you bend your car nearly as far as you want without breaking the shaft. The floor of the car will generally be on the ground before the shaft breaks. It'd be nice to see headers coming out the hood. They're referred to as stacks. They produce a very loud, hair raising v8 roar, and they're mainly for crowd entertainment, but it'd be fun to implement into the game. I'd also very much like to see the ability to reinforce parts of your car. Such as putting rod through the hood to the frame of the car, and welding patches onto the body panels of the car to keep it all in tact. This really increases the strength of the car. And being able to weld bumpers onto the frame so that they dont' fall off so easily... Anyway, hope you'll consider some of these things. Thanks for looking. Any questions about what I've said, please ask
okay, there definitely needs to be the option to weld the body panels together with patches. Such as the fenders to the hood, the doors to the post or fender or quarter panel. And the hoods and trunks/tailgates to the fenders as well. The derbies will never end because of the loose parts lol. Always getting stuck together and spending 45 minutes trying to get unstuck. Arrrrrg. Please help me out on this one guys. it really sucks when you get 3 or 4 vehicles stuck together. Then there's no one left to hit you off.
It seems as though all of this is possible if you have the time to work on it. See this post for reference... http://www.beamng.com/threads/1426-Damage-slider-derby-mode I would like to work on this (derby mods) but have been busy with school. Hope this helps.
