    Hi,

I noticed an issue to the official replay app that is related to detached parts of a vehicle after a crash. They are flickering a lot resulting in an ugly replay session. The same parts are not flickering during the action being recorded by the replay. See the below vide

    1) first half is the actual gameplay: the dummy is detached and slides correctly on the road. I have played it at high frame rate to give more frames to the replay to be recorded.
    2) the second half of the video (from 0:55) is the recorded replay, when the detached dummy starts to be far from the vehicle (1:19) it starts to flicker on the road

what could be the issue? Is it in the replay or can it be something in the jbeam of the parts that don't like to the replay app?

    Note: game is 0.22.1

    Thanks
    M

It seems like you use reshade, that might be the problem.

Yes I know, I have asked about this before, but there is no priority to fixing this bug sadly.

looks like refNodes aren't being updated fast enough so the detached parts freak out. Just a guess

I have tried without reshade and the result is the same

I noticed that there are some beams under stress (blu) in the vehicle, could it be they influence the detached part? What I don't understand is why it is impacting only the replay, not the normal gameplay

but in your case the vehicle dismount itself, it is a different issue. That I never faced though

I broke the car to show off all the parts jittering around. MY point is, all the parts that can fall off is childern of the main part (The Truck Frame) and when the truck frame move a lot all the other parts freak out. It is the same problem you have, and it is a limitation of the replay system, that will not be fixed.

Ah ok I didn t read in detail your post, now I got it. But then why others succeded to have stable detaching things? See this video at around 1:30. It is quite old, I hope that replay has been broken in recent realeas...

Read what Nadeox1 wrote to me. It is not broken, it is how it works sadly. And it is not something that will be updated as it is not a priority. That is why I dont use the replay system much.

Ok but I noticed that it is not systematic, the video of smashchan above demonstrates it. Moreover it seems it is more severe when parent vehicle has beams under stress during crash, at least i can try to improve my vehicles to improve replay.
