On the racing variants on the 90's pessima and sunburst, they come with fully customization front, rear, and center differential. Normally when it comes to this, I understand the front and rear, but not the center. Could someone help explain setting up the center differential in terms of how it changes vehicle characteristics?

Having the locking higher under acceleration binds the speed of the front and rear differentials more. This can allow you more traction coming out of corners. Conversely, having it at a lower setting can cause the front or rear to spin coming out of a corner inducing understeer or oversteer.

Under decel, a higher setting makes the car more stable by binding the speeds together under deceleration. This can make the car more stable but too high of a setting may cause understeer when trying to turn while braking.

The preload is a setting that always affects the differential regardless of acceleration or braking. More preload makes the car more stable while coasting. Any accel or decel locking force is added on top of the preloads locking effects.
