DirectInput missing?

Here is a list of issues that just appeared over night, for (what I can tell) no discernible reason. All these issues might have something to do with each other, since they all appeared at the same time, but idk.

Missing Direct Input
Whenever I start the game, it complains that Direct Input is missing, and that I have to reinstall dx9. This doesn't make any sense to me, as Windows 10 ships with dx9 compatibility, so why would I have to reinstall it? The link that is provided with the error is dead.



No in-game input
This issue is probably related to the one above. Despite the fact that Direct Input only deals with joysticks, steering wheels etc. and not keyboard input, all input from my keyboard is ignored in-game. Mouse input is only partially ignored. The mouse works fine in the main menu, and I can use my mouse to click within the game, but I can't move the camera.

Broken UI
Since all input was being ignored, I figured it had something to do with my key bindings. When I checked the settings however, I discovered that the UI was completely broken. I couldn't assign new bindings, and I couldn't reset them. I couldn't find any more broken UI elements beyond what is shown in the image below.



What I've tried doing in order to fix this
- Deleting the BeamNG folder
- Reinstalling the game
- Downloading dx9 (didn't get very far with this one)
- Verifying game files through both Steam and BeamNG (no missing files)

Specs
Intel Core i5-8400
16GB RAM
GTX 1650 Super (driver ver. 445.87)

 

None are working. Bump./

I have to RESTART my computer to fix it. But it appears after each day.
