Hello. I am trying to run BeamNG on Windows 8. Whenever I open it though, it says that beamngsandbox.x86.dll is missing when it really isn't. What should I do? This is a real annoyance.

I'm running it on Windows 8 as well fine, so I doubt that it's the OS. Either try forcing an update or reinstall the game.

I've already reinstalled and updated it several times, but it does nothing other than (for some reason) eating up more Gigabytes on my hard disk.

Please help, this is very frustrating.

Hmm, You'll probably have to wait until a dev replies. Very weird.

It also says "Unable to load game library" and when running the .exe instead of the shortcut, an error message comes up saying it can not run because X3DAudio1_7.dll is missing from my computer. I've checked and both of them are there. Also I could run this fine on my old windows 7 computer. I've checked and I also have Directx 11.

    Fixed! Yay!

Similar problem on Windows 7 Ultimate mine says libbeamng.x86.dll is not designed for windows or contains an error

    -- Update --

Got it to for for me by disabling my antivirus temporarily, then running the updater as adminstrator

Force update, if that doesn't help make sure directx9c is installed. Check Antivirus to make sure its not screening DLL files.

Jake, if you have any usb headsets try unplugging them. If thats not the case go to control panel, sounds, playback tab, properties on your main device, and set to 16 bit 44.1khz. If that doesnt work disable audio devices to try to narrow it down.
