Some time in the future, I plan to create a car for beamng as a school project.
(Dont' place your hopes to high, though. I might do something else besides this).
Because of my need of this information, I will be posting this in multiple forum types. I hope I am allowed to do this, since the topic fits the description.

To design the cars, I need to know the size of the engine first to accommodate space.
The engines that I need to know the dimensions of are as follows:
(The ones in bold is the one I prefer)

    ~700-900cc inline 2 (motorcycle engine
    ~1300-1600cc inline 4 (e.g. Renault R5) (FOUND)
    ~2000-2500cc flat 6 (e.g. Porche 911 ST)

And, yes. All of this is going to be inside one car.
    Thanks!

Have you already searched for blueprints on google?
If you did, you could ask friends who have a motor/car with such an engine or the car maker of that engine?

    Of the cars I have, I have a V6, 2.5L Inline 4, and a 1.4L inline 4 (I will use for last resort)
So far, I can't find any blueprints in the net, beside some V engines.
And at best, my friends have either a 1300cc engine or 3000cc inline engine.

    No luck so far

Never heard of a such little v6 lol.
No more seriously, I have original blueprints of i4 engines, some from the 403, the Golf 2, and the 106, I need to search them but I can probably take pictures of them. I can also take photos of the engine from the 3 cars mention before. I think the engine of the 106 would be perfect for you I think.
The golf engine might be a little bit to old, and same for my 403.
Tell me if you are interested.
BTW the golf and 106 are diesel engines.

    Ah, very good!
Those will be really helpful for my project!
About the 106/Golf engine, it does not really matter if it is diesel. As long as I have accurate dimensions of the engines to model, it should be a great reference to my designs :)
Thank you very much for your contributions!

By the way, how on earth did you find the actual blueprints of the engines? It would be pretty cool if I had one just lying around ;)

I'm pretty that they are in the paper technical review of the car :)

    Ulrichou86,
I don't meen to hurry you too much, but I think that I need the dimensions pretty soon.
I need to confirm to my school if the project is still viable
    Thanks!

I can't find right know the 106 one, but here is for example the one from my 403. For giving you an idea of what it looks like.

    Ah, thank you very much!
Sorry to ask for another favor, but might you have the dimensions of the engine as well? Like the length and width and stuff?
I feel like I might need those later.

One can approximate the dimensions fairly easily if they think about how they work
    --- Post updated ---
In all honesty though, all of these in one car? Requirements for fitting a boxer and an inline engine are totally different

Well, if a Fiat 126 can fit a Chevy V8 into it, then I don't think there's room for argument there, haha.

Yeah, I have a few dimensions, like pistons and other but not everything.
But as it's an old one (1970) I hope that 106 one will have more information.

    Thanks!
But it turns out, that the 403 dimensions are already enough.
I guess that's all I need so far, so no need to trouble yourself too much.
    Thanks, again!

Wait, you know that the 403 is from 1957 and that it use a carburated engine ?
    It's 1L5 with only 58 HP.

I only need the general layout of the engine.
Mechanically wise, not much has changed from those years before, except the introduction of injection.

It can't without most of the bay and firewall being cut out and a v8 is narrower than a boxer

The engine doesn't have to be in the front.
Just take the rear seats out and increase the wheel base a bit, and you'll have enough space for a transversal small-block flat 6
