As far as I've read on this forum BeamNG is a physics middleware system that is integrated in CryEngine 3, and you can integrate it in whatever other engine you like. Now, I also heard the devs were working on a game utilizing BeamNG, with stuff ranging from Gymkhana-esque stunt challenges to destruction derbies. And now what I wondered was; (should a name already be thought of), what's the game going to be called? I've seen a lot of confusion on here with people talking about the game and naming it BeamNG, people not understanding any of it and just seeing it as one and the same thing, so I wanted to know what we should refer the game by.
Make the game so your constantly having to keep your car "tuned" up after every crash, and this could actually work!
Yeah, but I'm not expecting to see it anytime soon. By the sounds of it, they have a lot of work to do. I feel like I read somewhere that they were 20% complete with something. I can't remember if that's referring to BeamNG or the game.
Does that mean to wait for more info, like TBA, or is that the legit name? I have to say, I do like "stay tuned" as a name of a game. However, maybe a name that suggests advanced deformation would be the best route.
Random support +1000000 Hahaha but on a serious note, I want to know the name really badly. Have you guys just not thought of it yet (like "cross that bridge when we get there") or are you just not leaking too much info yet?
Oh ok. I guess it doesn't really matter now, especially since it's not close to release yet (or so I think!).
Ha! I actually like the idea of just using something cheesy like "Every Vehicle Simulator 2013" xD The face of the people will be priceless when they find out this is not a crappy simulator like Farming / Train / Bus Driver Sim 2012/etc Though, I doubt that would ever really happen, since you won't get very good publicity with a name so dull. The real name should be something catchy, and I think the only people who can come up with a fitting name are the devs themselves.
No, it has nothing to do with rigs of rods, pretend that ROR never existed, then talk about this game.
