DOSBox is a MS-DOS emulator to run 1985-late '90s games on it. Here is the download for the emulator: http://www.dosbox.com/download.php?main=1 Here you can download DOS-era games for the emulator free: http://www.myabandonware.com/ To use DOSBox, just open it after install. Then, get to your game. Open the zip, then locate the folder inside. Copy this to your C: drive. Then rename the folder you just copied to a name with no spaces or symbols except alphanumerical ones. Get back on DOSBox. Then type after Z:\> mount C: C:\filename. My file is ford1, and here is the screen after you press Enter. Then type C: then press Enter. Then type dir.exe. This pulls all of the .exes from the file up. I will type simul. Then press Enter after you type YOUR .exe, and the program launches. To quit the game just press CTRL+F9. Now you have played a DOS game on your modern PC. Sorry for making it so long, but I hope it helped. Thanks, cad5359 Oh, and CTRL+F11 and F12 control the speed of the game you have chosen. It took me 15 minutes to figure it out, so PM me if you have problems, not here.
I'm playing Stunts (one of the best racing games EVER imho) on Win8 (laptop) thanks to DosBox! Love to play that game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxANYMqd8cY For the ones who are interested!
Wow, that game sure does look and move properly for the time it came out. I shall obtain it right away!
It is a really cool game. If you want, I can send you the whole .zip in one time. No installation needed, place anywhere on your pc and play
Don't worry mate, I got it working by myself yesterday, but thank you anyway . It is indeed a great game, I was kind of surprised when I found all those fancy features that not many racing games offer, such as the internal view and the track editor. I didn't even know that stuff was in the game until I tried it myself! Also, off-topic, I too drive a lovely Peugeot 205 .
It is indeed an astonishing game, it really surprised me too when I got it working and saw those awesome features again (I had this game when I was a kid). And indeed, the track editor is really fun. There are loads of tracks to download! Yay! Good to see someone who has a good taste for cars haha
