I do believe, if i'm not mistaken, that RoR used to have this feature. Would be nice if they would bring it back.
They sort of did... basically when you were in multiplayer and someone joined with a truck that you didn't have, the game would automatically search the forums for that truck... however I think he is talking about something closer to trackmania or gmod where you can just pull up a list and see all the available content that is on the website right inside the game itself... Then whatever you want is just a click and a few short seconds away from working in game... this would be a pretty sweet idea if it had this in my opinion
I think it would be cool if this was part of steam so you could use the work shop to simply subscribe to things and it would have a very friendly user interface, and then the kind people working at beam wouldn't have to "reinvent the wheel"
lol so people bash me for wanting easier installation of mods, he says the same thing and it's a good idea...... Annnnyways like Ive been saying, accessibility, like what Gmod did with the Toy Box, made the game MUCH better. I think it's a great idea. The more accessible, the bigger the audience. Hence why developers are almost always releasing games for consoles. I know people who have a "gaming PC" and they don't know what an anti-virus is or what defragging means.
Here is a good example for what this could look like in BeamNG, I hope something like this gets implemented eventually. http://www.beamng.com/threads/4493-Community-content-browser-installer-(a-la-Overgrowth)
