    Good day!

So for the past few days I've noticed that beam.ng hasnt been able to unpack files, and will hang after allocating the files once downloaded. I have a 2.3GB download that hasn't been able to complete the updating process.

    Problem:
Steam is unable to complete any updates for any other titles or even the steam launcher itself. When I try to close the application, it is unable to since beam.NG is unable to complete its downloading process. I haven't opened the application in a few months and I've also downloaded a few mods for cars and maps. When I try and verify the integrity of the files, it crashes steam all together.

Before I start to delete files, I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience or has any input that could point me in the right direction?

Steam manages the entire update part, not the game itself.
That means that your issue is within Steam.

If Steam just go stuck, usually uninstall and re-install the game can help.
If you are going to do, I'd also suggest to do a Clean Install at this point: https://wiki.beamng.com/BeamNG_FAQ#How_do_I_perform_a_clean_reinstall.3F
That so old mods and other old files you had from previous version are gone. It's usually not a good idea to jump from an older version to the latest version directly.

If the issue persists, you should contact the Steam Support ( https://help.steampowered.com/ )
