Drifting contest!

Event has started! Post your videos to be judged! Will end Feb 1st.

Yes, after doing a little sliding in the industrial map, I have decided to make a Drifting contest. (Just for this thread though.)

Instructions: You may choose your car, but it has to be RWD. Go to the 'industrial' map, and run 3 laps of your best drifting, then post it. Me and RobertGracie will judge the run by our points system. Your stats will be posted here:

Notice: Please volunteer to judge. I would not like to be the only judge here. Also, if you are a judge, you may not compete.

Rules:
1. Points will be given by how difficult a drift is.
2. Points will be taken away if you hit an object.
3. Points will given/taken depending on how good your car looks after the run.
4. Points will be given if you drift close to an object.
5. Points will be given on how skillfully you initiate the drift.
6. You can post your best run.
7. You may not reset your car.
8. You must film it in the industrial zone, not the race track(s).
9. You must follow the course provided.
10. You must be using the outside, or orbit, camera.
11. You may choose your car but it has to be RWD.
12. You must post what engine you are using, modified ones are not allowed.
13. Have fun!

There are no prizes I'm sad to say. This is just for fun.

It's not even drifting.. That's called an e brake slide with a fwd.

 

Yes, I noticed that drifting cars aren't FWD after a little while when I posted this. Sorry about that.. The car has been changed to the Civetta Bolide. Sorry for my supidity.

 

Why didn't you changed it to the grand marshal widebody drift edition?

 

Its a pity I cant enter...I just dont have the skills to do this...or the controller..

But it is way to powerful to control during the drifting contest.

 

How would you know? You didn't even know professional drift cars are RWD...

 

Yes, you are correct. But I determined after a couple of test runs (I have the game running.) that it is hard to control. Maybe at a later date in a more professional contest?

 

Maybe a contest involving something you have basic knowledge of?

 

Ha ha.... If you don't have anything to say about the contest, don't say anything at all.

 

Just pointing out, the idea of only using your first drift isn't very good. Anyway, how will you enforce this other than with trust? Also, the minute limit may not be a good idea. What if someone, somehow, can do a drift of longer? You're limiting the possibilities of the contest.

 

Sure I will Judge it, I think Style, control and combinations as well I think thats what I am looking for

 

I don't think the stock Grand Marshall is a good choice for drifting, 250 hp and open differential on a 2 tonne car... An lsd and a little more power would be good.

 

The Civetta Bolide gets my vote because its just easier to drift but in a slide its got a dark side to it where it will snap at you..

 

I think the Grand Marshal Widebody Edition would be a great choice. The GM is easy to drift and powerful

 

what about a Grand Marshal with a drift spec engine that we can provide?
