Quickly carved an airstrip out of a hilltop on DRI. The runway is very short and sloped at each end. You must get your glide slope and speed just right to pull off a landing, I recommend taking off toward the ocean. You still start at the gas station, just hang a left out of there and drive over the bridge, hang a left directly after the bridge and your there. WARNING: I recommend that you back up your original files. Simply copy the files into your BeamNG.drive-0.3\levels\dry_rock_island folder. To uninstall the map, either delete the files and run the updater, or restore/rename your backup. UPDATE: Included other files that should fix the vegetation and the decals / buildings not appearing.
Re: Dry Rock Island Airstrip Oh lord...that is probably one of the WORST downloading sites I've ever seen. Seriously, for your sake and my sanity, use something better than that "sendspace" site. I strongly advise that nobody downloads the file until it's moved to a safer site. First of all, the only way to download files is by running an executable file, which is an instant red flag. Next, it tries to add a bunch of useless software to the download. Every page had various downloads in it. The only way to avoid downloading them was by clicking a tiny "decline" button carefully hidden in the corner of the screen. Plus, every page infuriated my inner grammar nazi. I can almost guarantee the person that made the site simply shoved everything into Google Translate. Seriously, why wouldn't you use something like dropbox or mediafire? At least use something better. It's a shame, too. Your map is genuinely awesome. It's awesome having the little landing strip. Please, move your download to a better site.
Re: Dry Rock Island Airstrip Aw come on, I got through it all in less than 10 seconds without adblock! You can check to make sure which download button is right by hovering over it with your mouse and seeing the url. If it says for example. www.onclickads.net/ooawlkjslkaa instead of www.sendspace.com/ it means that your are looking at the wrong download button. I do agree with you though. It will make it much easier for everyone if the map creator uses a better download site or simply attaches the file to this thread! Edit: Where did you even download a .exe?! You must not have read the page and unchecked any boxes that say something like "download annoying program with this file"
Re: Dry Rock Island Airstrip Yeah, I'm not entirely sure what happened. I tried the download again, and it worked fine. I clicked the exact same place too, so I don't know how I got to the .exe file. Probably something stupid on my part.

You basically have to take off toward the ocean, can land either way though. - - - Updated - - - Updated the file on the first post. Smoothed the runway out quite a bit. Added a hangar, removed vegetation close to the runway. Also removed floating vegetation. Added a few decals and objects. Updated again. Adjusted the terrain on the approach at each end of the airstrip, lowered the main road a bit. Added skid marks on the runway. Removed more vegetation in the way, should be a nice clear shot now.
Re: Dry Rock Island Airstrip I think that you need to upload the dry_rock_island.forest. I got the problem as well, but I just reduced tree count by about 75% because I like Dry Rock, but I will like some trees.
Updated, added the missing files. Sorry for the inconvenience, first time using the editor. EDIT: If anyone can confirm this is working that would be awesome.
