I have 2 DS4 controllers. One of them is the first generation model (CUH-ZCT1U), and one is the second generation model (CUH-ZCT2U). The first generation model works perfectly fine with BeamNG drive, but the second generation acts strange. For example, the triggers don't work like an analog control and act like buttons. Same happens with the joystick. BeamNG also doesn't identify that the controller is a DS4 controller. But with the 1st generation controller, it works fine. My question is whether the 2nd generation will also get support, or is it something wrong with my computer?

Make sure you have bound the controls correctly.

I use the default bindings. And it isn't a control bindings issue. The game doesn't detect that my triggers are analog. They act like buttons.

Does this happen in other games? Also try calibrating it with joy.cpl (type that in the start menu/cortana)

Is windows able to see the axes? Check in Windows control panel. It must work correctly there before BeamNG has any chance of seeing them too.

It can see the joystick axes, but not the trigger axes.

Ok, then that is definitely a problem of windows, drivers, or configuration. Check your gamepad manual to see how to install the drivers for use in Windows. Or if there's a toggle to switch the triggers from button to axes (some gamepads have different modes of operation, I have never used your gamepad so I don't know about that specific model).

You have never used a PS4 controller?

Me personally, no. I have used a CUH-ZCT1E for some minutes, but not a CUH-ZCT2U.
