so that we don't end up filling some other thread up, i figured there should be an E3 megathread, so here it is XBOX ONE BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY WHOO: Forza 6 looks freaking amazing (also 1080p 60fps) New need for speed, very nice looking, although that camera looks worse then beamng's: 2nd video of NFS: FALLOUT 4 GAMEPLAY: Halo 5 new MP mode:
something something fallout 4 hype video spam incoming New Pip-Boy is awesome, also minigames. Holy crap this is the best weapon customisation system I've seen. JET FUCKING PACKS ON POWER MOTHER FUCKING ARMOR also deathclaws come out of the sewers, NOPE - - - Updated - - - Also, gib fallout shelter for Android pls
Need For Speed has got their minds right by bringing back customizations, thanks to this video shown at E3. Rocket Bunny anyone?
apparently fallout shelter for android is in the works, it just takes longer to make because android phones all have different specs.
If I can't change individual parts I will be pissed. Body kits are lazy, "click to maek rice" is not proper customisation. Also, graphics look good but nowhere near as good as the trailer. Maybe it's just the massive amounts of motion blur. TBH I'm not expecting much because EA, I really hope it's good though. - - - Updated - - - Yep. Might even buy an Android phone instead of WP just for that, the hype is real.
Had to dug up my old iphone 4 for that fallout shelter but waay too laggy. Also i was hoping for more Mass Effect stuff than the trailer.
Backwards compatibility just may seal the deal for me on an Xbone. Lots of great 360 games just sitting around watching my PS4 work hard. The NFS transition scene from FMV to in game was fucking epic!
huh? not in the preview program (at least i'm not aware of being in it) but i have friends that do, they play battleblock theatre (one of the current games available for backwards compatibility) and i have it on 360 digital as well, saw a "view in store" button on the digital 360 for xbone version, clicked it, gave me the install button, clicked it, and now it is indeed installing am i missing something here? i thought only preview user's get it right now, while everyone else has to wait for the public release
Look at that compatibility list though. Its all really old stuff with very few major titles actually supported. Basically like 2 Games in my collection supported. Seems like they're just patching the shit out of the older games that don't tax the hardware to force them to emulate on the less powerful (for single thread) 2nd gen console. - - - Updated - - - Different specs literally make no difference. Do Pc devs rewrite their games for each different PC? No. Good code is portable code. The only issues specific to android are the sensors available and the screens physical size (phone versus tablet). Android api includes a selection of methods for confirming a sensor exists before using it (or in the case of motion sensors you can go through 1 by 1 until you find something suitable). Android includes a method to return 1 of 3 physical sizes and one of 3 display densities. Takes 2 lines of code plus a switch statement to filter through them, then you can throw in the correct rendering size for each option there (best off just selecting a scale factor and then using that factor in the rest of the program). Resolution independent drawing you should have been doing in the first place. So 2 issues to cross, 1 of which isn't an issue for that game and the other isn't a hurdle and is present on iOS too (actually poorly handled on iOS in comparison)
Shit.....figures. Will look at the compatibility list. I just hope Splinter Cell Blacklist and the old Tiger Woods PGA tour games (at least 2013), make it. Williams arcade too. I still see no reason to buy an xbone what so ever. Halo 5 looks like it's heading down the COD road (PUKE), but I have hope.
Speaking of Halo 5. That gave me huge Mass effect vibe. There was Captain Andreson voice actor and the guy who said: "Keep your head down and run" sound just like Javik. Some sound effects sounded like they could come from mass effect series.
EA conference : Sports games. Suddenly Pelè. NFS presentation was OK I guess. That terrible camera when turning is just cancer though. Star Wars looks like Battlefield. Mirror's edge was interesting. The game about Yarn was incredibly fascinating. Unexpected and fascinating. Its presentation was also pretty awesome. Keeping and eye on it. Ubisoft conference : CGI, CGI and CGI. And they had the balls to present DLC expansion to E3.. Also, suddenly Jason Derulo that can't sing for shit. Meanwhile, Square Enix announced the next Hitman, just a CGI trailer, but Hypeee.
found the site to vote for games to get backwards compatibility: https://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/298503 i'm personally hoping for forza 4, forza horizon (original), portal 2, call of duty: modern warfare 3, just cause 2, and halo 3: odst to be 6 of the first 100 games to be available for backwards compatibility
and now, for what everyone's been waiting for JUST CAUSE 3: WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOO
