It just makes more sense for early development… the car density doesn’t feel right in a west coast city… but it would feel perfect on the small village east coast map… & the off-road dynamic there would also add a whole new dimension to the career mode… if I was a developer I would switch over to there… this is in no way me trying to tell them what to do, I’m just speaking my mind on what I THINK (my opinion) would work better… thank you for reading…
hmm, no. WCUSA is probably the best choice, because it has a full-fledged racetrack, and loads of opportunity for logistics missions, and a lot of diverse areas for novelty missions, like the highway and skyscraper rooftops. they're also in the midst of filling it out with more points of interest, which can be tailored specifically to career missions. compare that to ECUSA, it's mostly comprised of a lot of roads in the same biome, with not many points of interest between, and you can't really add any more without losing the sparse countryside feel of it. and even then, what would offroad progression look like on ECUSA? there are some good low speed trails, but compared to Utah or Johnson Valley, they don't get very high in difficulty. as for the traffic density, that's entirely down to your computer, for example my old potato can only run two traffic cars at a time .
If the beam devs could, heres my idea. Merge the two! They are both in the usa so that could be really cool to see
I mean racetrack & industrial/logi areas can be added to ECUSA… it’s just seems like a more fitting environment to me… granted I am a east coaster myself so maybe some bias exists… & my PC runs 8-10 ai cars & fills up parking lots with 20 or so inactive cars, but the streets still feel empty to me cause it’s supposedly a mid-sided city… & another suggestion for Career mode. BUSES BUSES BUSES!!! Have AI running routes & make it part of a career(idk if it’s already in there)…
I'm not sure if i saw a post from a dev in a dream or something (and you can correct me if i'm wrong because i don't remember it if it was 100% real) but devs at one point said that they're going to stick with West Coast USA for the career mode and expand it just for the needs of career mode. Which makes sense considering how populated the map is compare to East Coast, which has barely anything to offer for career mode.
Italy would also be a good choice for career mode. There might be no race track but you could do it Underground 2 style on open roads. Trying to avoid traffic while pushing some riced up Covet around the small streets of Norte, doing downhill drifting in the hills, drag races at the airport...
The oceans are on different sides of the maps... Also, if any maps would be merged, it would maybe be WCUSA and Johnson Valley, because they're both in California. (Actually, Hirochi Raceway and ECUSA would be much more likely.) The climates of the maps are super different, too. Maine and California aren't that similar (contrary to popular belief).
Literally cross the America, would be better they merge West Coast with Johnson Valley and Small Island, and merge East Coast with Hirochi Raceway
Have been enjoying 'East Coast' as it has some great dirt trails / off road challenges and nice flowing roads....would make for some fantastic Rally stages and there is still plenty of room for expansion on the map for epic long Rally stages.....just a personal opinion
