    Hello,

I have owned BeamNG for over 5 years now and, despite some large updates, have never been quite satisfied with the engine sounds. And so, over the past few months, I have been quietly working on my first sound mod to be released. So far, it is only for the Covet, Sunburst, Old and new Pessima, Vivace, Citybus, ETK-I Series, Miramar, 200BX, LeGran, ETK 800 and K series, SBR4, Wendover and Pigeon. However, eventually I plan to cover the entire car list. These sounds support the separate engine and exhaust samples and use the FMOD sound platform. All original sounds of the fifteen cars featured in this version are replaced by this mod; all you need to do is download the .zip below and put it in your mods folder.

    What's new in version 4?

All vehicles now have different engine sounds to the previous version (huge)

Added support for the Vivace I5 engines

Added partial support for the ETK 800 and K series (I4 only, I6 coming later)

Added full support for the Wendover

Added full support for the Pigeon

Added full support for the SBR4

Incorporated new editing tactic, cropping audio files to single cycles of the engine to allow for better clarity and realism

#MAKE SURE TO REMOVE OLD REVSION BEFORE UPDATING#

IMPORTANT NOTICE: I do not own the copyright for all of the sound files used (some from other games etc) so this mod will likely never be on the repository.

    Enjoy!

the lower rpms could use some work, but the higher rpms sound really damn good.

Marvellous. Can you provide a list of the games where you got the audio files from?

Well, I got the exhaust sounds from Street Legal Racing Redline (SLRR) and the rest were either ones I recorded myself or from a brilliant website called freesound.org

they sound kinda muddy and vague under around 4000 on both pessimas at least, maybe trying some different samples for that range would fix it
high rpms sound almost perfect though!

Yeah, I've noticed this as well. Not quite sure what's causing this. I could try using a different EQ filter on the lower rpm sound files and see if that fixes it ;)

Now I'm working on adding V6 sounds to the modern Pessima and am completely re-thinking the Sunburst sounds.

I actually agree lol. I'm planning on updating the 200BX sounds to give a more realistic sound. But for now, enjoy the 1 pepper!

Yes they will. A big update is coming, if I can juggle this plus life a bit more efficiently!

Just a quick note - sound of the Pessima could use some improvement. Sounds more like the Vivace i3 than a typical 4-banger at low RPM, and sounds like a higher -revving engine than it actually is, almost like a Honda D-series VTEC.
