What kind of additional software are you using that messes up your game bad enough where you can't use the super-simple manual installation?
i just ment the ones i want are the junkyard with the flat tyre and the demo derby one beacouse you already have the nice ones now do the crap ones
As I have already stated. I am using NVIDIA GeForce NOW. It doesn't mess up my game, it allows me to play it on my Mac. I would love to do the "super-simple manual installation", but this is a cloud service, so it is not actually on my computer. It uses my internet to play it. (And please no one talk back to me about how it's not possible. There are videos on YouTube, and if you still don't believe it, buy a Mac, purchase BeamNG.drive on steam, connect you're account and play it) And to keep this on topic, how long will it take to change files, if it's possible or something you are willing to do @53_herbie_53
What's not working? Is the car not loading in? Is it loading in but not moving? A few basic things that usually help: 1. Have you tried clearing your cache? 2. Do you have the game updated to the latest version from Steam or wherever you purchased the game? 3. Did you leave the file zipped? 4. Did you put the file in the correct folder?
There are two ways: either we get permission for the names Herbie and VW Bug / Beetle (unlikely) and everything stays right as it is now. The other way is, that somebody renames all references containing those names to another name. I'm not doing it cause I'm already struggling enough with this whole scripting stuff. Next problem - everytime an update comes out this whole renaming needs to get reworked. Probably best thing you do is to install a windows virtual environment on your mac and run beamNG there, not sure if that works tho.
Dude, I appreciate the thought, but there isn't a BeamNG.drive file in my documents. I'm sorry if I sound snappy, but how many times must I say that it is a cloud service, and no files are on my Mac. --- Post updated --- It does work, and have tried. It is unreliable though, and the game will often become unresponsive. Thank you though, for trying to help me.
Do you have access to the game structure, which looks like this on windows: There you can insert mods into the vehicles folder as well
I don't recommend inserting mods with that method you provided; read this quote on how to properly install mods by Nadeox1 instead:
Wait, so how exactly does the stream work? Is the game running on another computer and then streaming to your Mac? If it's being run on another computer it should have a mods folder that you can use. You should probably make a thread in Questions and Support and one of the devs or moderators should be able to help you figure out a solution.
Well were not talking about a normal mod installation. @Pancakewurld runs beamNG on mac and has no documents/beamNGdrive/mods folder - thats why I suggested him to do that.
BeamNG does not run on Mac, unless the user is running a supported Windows OS on a virtual machine (theoretically, it might work). Either way, @Pancakewurld can try to install mods under the installation folder at his own discretion. If he continues to have an issue in regards to installing mods, then he should create a new thread about his issue under Questions and Support.
