well, I was not planning to give info on this, but since it is my first solo mod in a long time I could not keep it to myself Introducing the Etk-iL-Series A long wheel base, luxurious sedan with a 5.4L V12 Based on the BMW 750iL I plan to create a very close replica Ingame Pics Early WIP More pics Update 13/11/2018 (<based on the values of the bmw m73 engine) Update 25/11/2018 Update 28/11/2018 Blender pics Work that needs to be done is as follows Satnav(the BMW 750iL was the first car to ever feature satellite navigation) new dash new seats, and interior colors and trims such as wood trims etc. fuel tank needs to be implemented as it had been moved for the double exhaust setup completely rear wheel drive N/A v12 needs to be implemented in game, as it is not currently. little easter eggs here and there
Looking fantastic... love to see the I series getting some well-deserved attention! Maybe changing the styling a bit and calling it the J-series would be better. The I series is more of a 300e than anything else, and this is more of a 750il/600sel. Anyways, that’s just my two cents. Do what you will.
Good concept idea. It looks pretty good so far! I am looking foward to where this goes. Keep up the good work!
Hey man, you can also name this older etk s series as being predecessor to newer one. I'm not pointing out what to do, just saying.
Same goes for the vanilla car, but the way the rear window line is so flat and straight then kinks downward so abrubtly makes thec ar look a bit "unfinished", I mentioned the same thing years ago with the styling of this car. It looks odd from most angles...and that rear window is so huge, it looks like a minivan windshield lol besides that, I definitely like the direction you are going with this. An extended wheelbase would also give this car a bit more stability at higher speeds as well. That V12 is looking great too!
A very early showcase of the wip engine sound, using a heavily edited v6 sound, it is still work in progress with much more sound tuning to attend to
I have an idea. How about the early models have the standard interior and the later models have the different interior
I know this is an old thread but I recently found somehow I have this engine for my I-series, and I don't know how. I love using it though(I also have no idea how long I've had it I don't tend to drive the I series much, but was inspired to build up one similar to the 'BMW 750' when I watched "007 Tomorrow Never Dies"). I cannot find it in my mods folders, does not to look to be in any official BeamNG files either.(Yes I even looked in those). No idea how I got this mod as I see no way to download it here. Ive been searching the net high and low for anything on a "5.4L V12 Engine" in BeamNG. I finally came across this forum after several hours of searching. What I'd really like to know even more then how on earth I managed to get this badass engine... Is what is the file for it called?
it was featured exclusively in MilanKD's Ultimate Configuration Pack although, due to technical jbeam issues the bodywork of the long wheel base collapses the rear suspension. I am happy to see that the engine still works though. https://www.beamng.com/resources/ultimate-configuration-pack.2981/updates
Holy Crap there it is!!!. Thing is I looked in UCP a time or two before, but I just didn't dig deep enough into the files. I just looked at the engine jbeam on the first page of the zip file and figured that was the only engine the UCP had for the I-series. Ha, I'm not new to BeamNG, or dealing with the files, yet I didn't go any further then the first page of that mod until you said that mod is where it's at.. It's location is in a folder on the first page titled jbeams. Sweet. . . now to have the engine make around 400HP@9000RPM without any forced induction, and with all else for the engine also 'stock' save for the "V12 Adjustable Race ECU"(And yes I am aware the BMW 750's V12 made 322hp and 361lb/ft from the factory but hey, it didn't rev as high 9 grand either). Anyway, this is one of my more liked engines in BeamNG..I do love a long stroke V8, Love, muscle cars too (I'm Very much an American) but something about a high revving V12 front engined (non muscle)car(those gotta have a V8) is just crazy awesome. I do hope to see this engine at some point at the least released as a stand alone engine perhaps for more the just the I-series(maybe even the muscle cars too lol). Well, TY for your info it definitely helped!
