We have the option to put diffrent exhaust on our car but the dont sound any diffrent. we can also remove the exhaust doesnt sound diffrent either. I think beamng can improve a lot by just adding pops and bangs from the exhaust, or even a dsg transimision that makes fart sound like a real life vw golf gti.
BeamNG had it's first major Audio Update in 0.10, so of course things aren't all right yet, such as interior filtering still applying when a door is gone, but don't worry, they are getting around to this
I just got this idea a few days ago I notice why they don't do this if engines get mixed and matched So far if you replace a exhaust and it changes the sound it will for only one engine type So I have a sound that is labeled v8_2 I believe it is used for the Barstow But if the engine was in the d series and a exhaust was put on the 4.5 in the d series it will sound like the 4.5 instead of a Barstow engine The reason for this is the coding The engine could have something like "sound config" File: V8_2 So the exhaust needs to match with File: V8_2 But if you mix and match You end up with V8_2 not with I6_old or something like that So the exhaust changes will need to be slot specific Good idea (and in the works from me ) I just don't know if it will be so simple
Yes! Finaly someone said it! It was dissapointing changing (and removing) the exaust and sounding the same. Beam had an audio update already, so maybe it will be implemented in the future
Hopefully my system will work then, and not break the sounds but again, each part has to match the engine type
