Ive come to notice after the team released the revamped engine sounds with the exhaust noise too, there isnt too much variation between the front of the vehicle and the back. it would be great if the noise level for the engine got louder, say if you were to remove the exhaust system from the vehicle, or put a straight pipe on (like the dragsters). As it stands alot of the vehicles dont really have the best sound from the rear, which i understand improving this requires recording a double of every engine sound, but it would improve the driving experience greatly.
Are you sure that you are running latest game version? In 0.16 they added separate exhaust sound and if exhaust falls off sound is louder, also dragsters definitely have louder and different sounds like straight pipes.
i did notice this but it isnt very much of a difference, still would like to see, or rather hear, a more distict difference in the engine sound in the front and the exhaust in the back, maybe have the exhaust more defined and more present i guess. --- Post updated --- ive been around 454s muffled and 454s straight piped and they sound like almost completely different engines, mainly because straight piped you can really hear the individual cylinders firing and many little details.. thats kinda what i was getting on to
ill give it a go ill see what i can make up. perhaps ill submit something who knows! --- Post updated --- i found exactly what i was looking for! i managed to make almost all the vehicles sound 100% more true to life by simply removing all engine muffling and then adjusting exhaust gain and muffling. i think it could definitely be worked into the game, and would make it alot better in my opinion.
