failed to start game app already running

i keep getting the error message "failed to start steam (app already running)". i tried everything steam said. i restarted my computer multiple times and also played other steam games. i restarted the computer and when i tried to start beamng it didnt launch and i waited awhile. please help me

I get you have problems, but please, 1 thread only.

Can the game be manually launched from C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamApps\common\BeamNG.drive?

This error happens to me when I'm trying to open Beam when it's already open.

 

• First start task manager [Ctrl+shift+esc]
• Then go to processes
• Find beamNG.drive.exe [should be using the most memory]
• click on it and click end process at the bottom right.

This is all you have to do to fix the problem with any game.

Meh.. there is no perfect solution for this I guess. Maybe reinstall the game or force shutdown steam. Then you will be able to launch your game.
