Hey! Will file formats still say relatively the same, such as .truck, .load, .dae, etc?

probably not, or I hope so.
"truck" and "load" are pretty much "vehicle" and "object"

generally the extension means nothing: take linux as an example or rename a .txt file to .rar and try to open it with winrar.
    but anyway:

The format the truck/car is made up of (beams and node definition) will change, and already has, to a JSON-like syntax. Will probably be stored as a .vehicle file or so.

There is also the possibility of lua files, though they are likely to be just .lua

Not quite sure but I think you might need to use T3D models instead of just collada, or use collada and something with T3D. Collada are .dae, no idea about T3D.

There is also bump mapping and the T3D terrains which use their normal formats: Image(any?) and T3D level file. I can't say anything for T3D; not a dev and don't know anything about T3D either.
