I remember Reading another thread that was talking about exploding cars, and a lot of people that cars don't really explode in real life. Cars do catch on fire, though, and especially if the gas tank has ruptured. I was wondering if cars would be able to catch fire in the game (please also include scorch marks:p)? I would love to drive a vanster while it is on fire! If you don't believe that a car can function after being set on fire, watch this video:

Watch the other 2 parts as well, if you want. ;)

Fire and Smoke would be pretty sweet for things like Machinimas.

I'd be pretty cool if you crashed your car in a surtan way to were it cuts out or something.

    Not a bad idea.

    I support this.
Would be a lovely thing to have & I'm sure many people would love playing around with it.
I'm not exactly sure about how it might affect FPS though, since it will be on the vehicle & when it's moving the Fire will have to be affected by the moving wind. But it's good to see such innovative ideas here already :)

But who knows, someone might even create a "Fire map" or one with Lava??

I also agree to this. I think it would be very interesting to drive a car while its on fire. Maybe even adding the ability to light the car on fire in certain areas and then being able to see how it affects the car based on where you lit the fire. I don't know if this makes since but thats the best way I can explain it.

Since cars don't really explode when they crash, why not give them a little bit of help?

These could be used to make time trial races more difficult, or just used to blow the snot out of your brand-new Ibushu Pigeon!

Although they don't explode very easily in real life, I can see a particular amount of joy coming from putting a car inside a contained field full of them and setting off a chain reaction.

No problem, I think that you will find these slightly more explosive. ;)
