Hi guys Yes I'm another consumer turn contributor (recipe for disaster). After reading the wiki I was inspired to go and murder some beams and nodes. So I am learning blender which is a long learning curve or err road and I have scratched together a very basic model (which is miniscule in scale it seems, still learning) and I was looking to add some suspension arms. Is it as simple as adding more vertices? Perhaps I should just follow the wiki and stick to one vertex to attach the HubWheel to. Another Kerrrrrr!!! Is the community ready? I learned of the scale disparity when I loaded the .DAE of the Moonhawk, it's just crazy to see every single part that makes the vehicle whole. Then I noticed my microscopic model sitting under the Moonhawk, scale fail. I didn't try to export as a jbeam n/b structure yet, early days. Revo
I wish you luck with this. I am to no help, just wanted to give you a thumb up. I too want to learn myself proper modeling. I have experience with Hammer and SketchUp, but want to learn something à la Blender (when I finally find time...). Anyways, I hope that this forum can be a place where people share their skills and help to the ones learning. As you continue to make stuff your skill will advance, I remember learning basic programming, maybe the most effective way to learn was to make many small programs and learn from that. After some time I was able to put all I learned into a bigger project.
