[FIXED] 3ds max 2009 importing dae file crashes ?

I'm trying to import one of gabesters dae files , the main one for the gavril D series so I can see how he did things and use the same idea for my car, but... when I import the file max crashes, i have SP1 installed, has anyone had an issue with this ?

For anyone in the future who searches this problem here is what you need

to import and export dae correctly with max, at least max 2009 for me, u need to update the FBX exporter

get the right version for x64 if thats what you use, i installed the 32bit version by accident and my max crashed


after updating correctly though, it works fine, no need for 3rd party software.
