We've just been hit by a storm that took the power out. Being an idiot, I forgot to unplug my desktop. After the storm, since I had a surge suppressor, I booted it up hoping it would be alright. When I booted it up, it showed the "Hi. We're setting up your computer" screen. Which terrified me, as this is not a new computer. After it finally booted up, it showed the error; C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile is unavailable. The desktop appeared to be a 32bit version of Windows, which I have a picture of below. I'd imagine its a problem with the hard drive. Help? EDIT: Fixed.
Re: [HELP] Computer Issues After Storm. For one reason or another, I booted it up again and everything's fine. Thanks for the help!
Re: [HELP] Computer Issues After Storm. Was the computer on or just plugged in? Did it load your user account? Check C:\Users\[your username] for duplicate folders. Delete the empty ones (such as Desktop). Do you have a windows disk available? EDIT: http://www.winplat.net/post/2013/06...refers-to-a-location-that-is-unavailable.aspx
