Flickering lights

When i set the game to be night time and turn on a cars headlights the beams produced by them flicker really badly. Its almost like the lights are being turned off and on every other frame. It makes night driving practically unusable because of how distracting it is.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

I've noticed this too, very annoying issue. My best guess is its an issue with the rendering of the light on the terrain. With the car in motion the light has to render on terrain thats constantly changing. So some issues could be present. How to fix, idk lol.

 

It's a known bug with all cars at the moment. Not much one can do but wait for an update and since this is Saturday, it would be a perfect day for an update!

 

Are you sure that it isn't your refresh rate? when I turn my refresh rate down the lights flicker, and when it is all the way up they do not

 

http://redmine.beamng.com/issues/59 This is a known problem, tdev confirmed that is simply a frame delay between the headlight positions updating and the rest of the vehicle.

I was wondering if anyone had a solution to the headlights being so bright that you can't see the actual headlight.

Lower the flare scale for the head lights in the vehicle folder?. Really bright flare flickers bad at night. It appears the only way to see lights directly at
night ( other than reflective textures ), is the flare option. I think I've got that right.
