I have been recently trying to play BeamNG with a wheel again.

I had a problem with the force feedback so ridiculous that I couldn't be bothered to fix it.

Now 1 year later this problem still exists.

I have a Fanatec CSL Elite base with the included pedals plus the Clubsport shifter and handbrake.

Whenever I turn on force feedback and start to drive I can very easily feel it working. However letting go of the wheel makes it try to correct it self, over correcting and make an endless loop of overcorrecting itself getting faster each rotation.

I have seen a couple of threads about this problem none that had any final solution.

I have read the steering wheel setup guide many times, have installed fresh drivers along with disabling the Centering Spring, Damper and Spring effects.

The problem still exists even in safe mode and I can't play the game like this.

Anyone that has a fix for this problem?

Yes I have but that fixes only the problem slightly.

The problem is still there but less aggressive.

Apart from that and reducing strength i have no idea. I don't have a steering wheel myself anyways.

check your game settings, because i know that if a vehicle is damaged on keyboard the vehicle will automatically try and center itself if the car is pulling to one side, so you dont need to constantly keep pressing keys

this could be the case if the vehicle is damaged or the game somehow thinks that the vehicle is damaged, and then begins to compensate but continually overestimate the force needed

i believe its a setting within the game controls, however im not fully sure since i dont tend to mess around much with the controls

Try going to wheel settings and disabling self-centering spring if it's enabled

The filters are in Direct (wheel) and I have disabled the centering spring in the Fanatec program.

If there is however a self-centering spring setting in the game itself I have missed that.

I found this forum on Reddit.

The guy has the same wheelbase and the same problem I have but the thread never got anywhere.

That thread was some time ago so if it is a problem with some code it still hasn't been fixed.

Hi, i also have the fanatec csl dd, and the fix to the issue is to change the mode on your wheel base to the yellow mode
